Founder and CEO
Adrian has been a professional in the energy energy efficiency arena for over 30 years working with both the private and public sectors to retrofit homes, save carbon and reduce fuel poverty.

Our CEO is a highly respected leader and key figure in the sector. As a member of multiple retrofit working groups, he plays an active role in shaping industry standards and best practices.
His extensive expertise spans the built environment and all aspects of retrofit measures, ensuring that Happy Energy remains at the forefront of innovation, compliance, and sustainability.

Louise Johnson
Chief Adminstration Officer
Louise has worked within the Happy Team for over 7 years working closely with the Directors across all operational areas of the business.

Louise ensures the seamless operation of our organisation by overseeing administrative processes, compliance, and strategic coordination. With a deep understanding of PAS 2035, PAS 2030, TrustMark, and MCS, she plays a crucial role in maintaining regulatory alignment and operational efficiency.

Chief Project Officer
Fiona has a wealth of experience in the private, public and voluntary sector providing skills and experience in the delivery and overall project management of our programmes, projects and schemes.

Safety, Health and Environment Manager
Daniel is a highly skilled health and safety professional with an engineering background, bringing in-depth knowledge of construction risks and industry best practices.
Fully conversant with the challenges of the built environment, Daniel ensures that our organisation upholds the highest health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all projects.
Daniel implements our HSE accreditations, including ISO 45001, Alcumus SafeContractor, and Constructionline, ensuring full regulatory alignment and continuous improvement. Antony Somerville
Supply Chain Manager
Antony Somerville brings a wealth of experience in the energy efficiency sector, having previously served as Managing Director of his own Insulation and Heating company, Carbon Delivery Manager for a managing agent, and in Technical Sales Management. With a strong track record in delivering WarmFront, ECO, and Social Housing schemes, Antony has played a key role in ensuring the seamless integration of high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective supply chain solutions since joining our team in 2019.
His deep industry knowledge and hands-on experience allow him to effectively manage supplier relationships, procurement strategies, and logistical operations, ensuring that our organisation meets the highest standards in retrofit, heating, and insulation solutions. Antony’s expertise is instrumental in driving supply chain efficiency, maintaining compliance with PAS 2035 (Antony is also a qualified Retrofit Coordinator), PAS 2030, TrustMark, and MCS, and supporting the successful delivery of sustainable energy solutions to our clients.​

Gary has been an integral member of the Happy team for over 10 years. His skills and experience include gas, oil and Air Source Heat Pumps heating systems; solar PV; Retrofit, Domestic Energy and Technical Assessments; Retrofit Coordinator and CIOB qualified.

Gary plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with PAS 2035, PAS 2030, TrustMark, and MCS standards. He oversees the end-to-end assessment and design of energy efficiency improvements, ensuring that each project meets the highest industry and regulatory requirements.

IT and Facilities Manager

Ryan Hayward
Retrofit Coordinator Manager
Ryan plays a pivotal role in ensuring full compliance with PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 standards, overseeing the coordination and management of retrofit projects to the highest industry specifications. With expert knowledge and qualifications for Retrofit and Domestic Energy Assessments and Coordination, risk management, and compliance frameworks, Ryan leads a team of Retrofit Coordinators to deliver high-quality, fully compliant energy efficiency and carbon saving solutions.
A qualified professional in domestic heating and hot water, health, safety, and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), Ryan brings a deep technical understanding to his role. He ensures that every project follows the PAS 2035 whole-house retrofit approach, from initial assessment through to design, installation, and evaluation, ensuring the best outcomes for homeowners and stakeholders.
By maintaining rigorous quality control processes and overseeing compliance at every stage, he ensures that our retrofit projects meet TrustMark, MCS, and regulatory expectations. Dominic Munro-McCarthy
Partnership Manager
Dominic Munro-McCarthy is an experienced Partnership Manager with a unique blend of expertise spanning construction, retrofit delivery, and public-sector project development. Having transitioned from senior roles within Local Authorities and the charity sector into hands-on construction and retrofit, Dominic brings both strategic insight and practical capability to his work at Happy Energy Solutions Ltd.

A qualified tradesperson with a City & Guilds Diploma in Construction Skills and a CSCS Green Card, Dominic has completed full house renovation and modernisation projects and trained across multiple trades including bricklaying, plastering, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical works.

Dominic’s earlier career focused on funding, partnership development, and programme management, within Local Authorities, across complex multi-partner initiatives. This experience gave him a strong grounding in strategic planning, compliance, and performance monitoring, skills he now applies to the operational delivery of retrofit and decarbonisation programmes.

Collaborative and detail-oriented, Dominic combines project management discipline with a practical understanding of on-site delivery. His ability to bridge policy intent with technical execution makes him ideally placed to develop and manage partnerships that deliver quality, value, and long-term community benefit.

Murat Emir
Retrofit Assessor Manager
Murat Emir is an experienced Retrofit Assessor Manager and qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) with extensive expertise in energy performance, damp and mould diagnostics, and ventilation assessment. As a certified Retrofit Assessor, Murat has led assessment teams across numerous large-scale housing retrofit programmes, ensuring compliance with PAS 2035:2023 and the highest standards of accuracy, quality, and resident care.

With a strong technical grounding and a methodical approach to property evaluation, Murat oversees the full assessment process — from data collection and site auditing to verification and reporting — ensuring all information feeds seamlessly into Retrofit Design and Coordination stages. His detailed understanding of building pathology, ventilation flow testing, and occupant risk factors allows him to identify underlying issues such as moisture imbalance, inadequate ventilation, or insulation gaps early in the process.

Murat’s leadership style is supportive and collaborative, fostering consistency and continuous improvement across his team of assessors. He is passionate about using data-driven insights to enhance energy efficiency outcomes while maintaining occupant safety and comfort.
