Local Authorities

Happy Energy Solutions have been providing carbon, energy and fuel poverty schemes for Local Authorities since 2013 through the HEAT Project programme.

​

The HEAT Project is a no cost schemes to Local Authorities to provide grants for energy saving measures to their residents in both private and social housing.  These result in bill savings for the household and carbon savings for the borough and  planet. 

​

The scheme is specific to each Local Authority area and provides, free of charge:

​

  • dedicated, resident focussed, informational website e.g. www.heatcornwall.com

  • specific branding e.g. HEAT Cornwall

  • outreach materials for libraries; GP surgeries etc.

  • outreach sessions in libraries, town halls etc.

  • carbon and full bill savings reports

  • access to HEATFlex service

  • Happy Account Manager - Retrofit Coordinator

  • Allocated funding

  • Access to charitable and trust funding

  • Funding application support and guidance

  • Happy Approved, Local Trustmark Registered  Installers

​​​We also work with Local Authorities to gain funding and successfully deliver Warm Homes:Local Fund (previously LAD/HUG) programmes.

Energy Companies

Happy Energy Solutions have contracts with a number of UK Energy Companies to deliver Energy Company Obligation (ECO 4), fuel bill saving measures, to eligible residents and properties.

​

The ECO 4 eligible measures include:

​

  • Solar Panels

  • Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)

  • High Heat Retention Storage Heaters

  • Roof Insulation

  • Wall Insulation

  • Floor Insulation

  • Boiler Upgrades (limited circumstances)

 

Happy Energy also offers specific ECO 

Innovation Measures which attract an uplift to ECO funding of 25% and in some cases 45%.  These Innovation Measures also allow D Rated, Social Housing properties to receive ECO funding.

The ECO Innovation Measures include:

​

  • Solar Panels

  • Air Source Heat Pump

  • Combined Heat and Power Fuel Cell Boiler

  • External Wall Insulation System

​

Happy Energy are currently exploring further Innovation Measures for uplift approval.

Private Sector Landlords

Happy Energy Solutions are able to offer a full range of grant fundedcarbon and energy efficiency retrofit measures to Landlords for their privately rented homes (whatever the size of their portfolio from 1 to 1000+), depending on the requirements of the property, based upon a fabric first approach:

 

  • Solar PV

  • Battery Storage

  • Air Source Heat Pumps

  • High Heat Retention Storage Heaters

  • Roof Insulation

  • Cavity Wall Insulation

  • Solid Wall Insulation

  • Floor Insulation

All specified and installed to the relevant PAS2030, PAS2035 and MCS Quality Standards through our team of highly qualified Retrofit Professionals and registered with Trustmark and MCS (as applicable)

​

The grants have specific eligibility requirements for the resident, and property, but our funding specialists will be able to assess what grants are applicable.

​

Happy Energy will endeavour to offer the energy efficiency measures for free (subject to funding), but there may be a contribution required by the Landlord.

​

Happy Energy offer a FREE, no obligation Domestic Energy and Retrofit Assessment if the property is Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) D or below and the resident is likely to be eligible for available funding.  These assessments are undertaken by our team of fully qualified Domestic Energy and Retrofit Assessors and will provide an up to date EPC, and Retrofit Energy Plan detailing investment required and available funding.

Tenants

Happy Energy Solutions collaborate with the Landlord and Tenant to offer the best energy efficiency solutions to meet the objectives of both.

​

Happy Energy will offer the energy efficiency measures free to Tenant(s) (subject to grant eligibility) - but there may be a contribution required by the Landlord.

​

We are able to offer the following measures, depending on the requirements of the property, based upon a fabric first approach:

Homeowners

At Happy Energy Solutions, we work directly with homeowners to provide the best energy efficiency solutions tailored to their property's needs.

​

We offer a range of energy-saving measures, many of which may be available at no cost through grant funding (subject to eligibility). In some cases, a small homeowner contribution may be required, but our team of Funding Advisors work hard to access as much funding as possible, based on the individual circumstances of the homeowner(s).

​

Our approach focuses on improving a home’s energy efficiency through a fabric first approach, ensuring maximum savings and sustainability. Depending on the property's requirements, we can provide grants for:
